Why A Pudelpointer

Rainy on Point

Pudelpointers were first introduced in 1881 in Germany. This was done by cross-breeding a German Pudel with an English Pointer. A world-famous dog trainer named Sigbot Winterhelt brought this versatile breed to North America in 1956. Sigbot started the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) to help protect the breed from becoming muddled. The purpose was to create a great family pet and a versatile hunting canine. They did not disappoint.

This breeding brought out the best of both breeds and still does to this day with these attributes:

  • Intelligent
  • Fast & Agile
  • Hunting Drive
  • Great Swimmers & Retrievers
  • Steady Pointers
  • Faithful Companion
  • Wonderful pet

SUNNY BRINGING IT HOME

THE PUDELPOINTER'S DRIVE TO SEARCH AND RETRIEVE IN A SLOUGH, LAKE, RIVER, OR POND IS SECOND TO NONE.   WHETHER ON THE WATER OR THE FIELD, THEY ARE DETERMINED RETRIEVERS.

COMPANION

WHEREVER YOU GO AND WHATEVER YOU DO, A PUDELPOINTER CAN ADJUST AND PARTICPATE AT THE LEVEL YOU DESIRE, WITH INCREDIBLE HUNTING DRIVE THAT THEY CAN PUT AWAY FOR THE NIGHT AND CURL UP BY YOUR FEET.
